Antique Chinese Coin is a symbol of unity within eternity. The Chinese coins used in these necklaces are purported (I am not a Chinese coin expert) to be between 500-900 years old. The calligraphy of the coins is quite captivating- I have not removed the natural patina that comes with aging as I feel it enhances the authenticity and uniqueness of each coin.
Tourmalinated Quartz is the stone of energy and connection. It acts to induce spontaneous invigorating bursts of energy when least expected. It sparks the imagination, spontaneity, and the unexpected connection that happens when you converse with a stranger and feel that immediate synergy as if you have known each other forever. Lapis Lazuli is the stone of perception and truth. Lapis is said to encourage harmony in relationships and helps the wearer to be authentic and give his or her opinion openly. Lapis means “stone” and Lazuli means “blue.” It is a stone, which enhances wisdom allowing one to organize and understand catalogs of information. Lapis is a stone of total awareness, helping one to expand awareness and intellectual capacity. It sparks the imagination and helps one communicate clearly releasing one from emotional bondage of negative thinking. Lapis enhances trust, and encourages self-acceptance.
Black Tourmaline can be used to both repel and protect against negativity. It is an energetic stone and increases physical vitality, emotional stability, intellectual keenness, and enhanced perception. “It can be used to attract inspiration, to diminish fear by promoting understanding, and to encourage self-confidence.”
Pyrite gets its name from Greek, meaning, “a stone which strikes fire” and it does just that. “This mineral possesses a defending quality and is an excellent preventive which will shield one from many forms of negative energy. An important facet in learning the art of communication and connection is to be present and completely at home in your own body-, you must be perceptive of your own feelings, desires, beliefs, prejudices, assumptions, and tendencies. To be truly authentic, we must first base our behavior on our deepest values- opening up and showing those aspects of ourselves to others, even when it makes us feel vulnerable to do it, goes a long way in helping us connect with anyone, male or female. The art of connection is perseverance, if you hang in there long enough, you will eventually uncover that elusive “common ground” and find that little something to bridge the gap.
